We have officially hit 34 weeks! We just realized that if this baby comes when I came, then we would be having a baby in 2 weeks! Of course we hope he stay in a bit longer than that but it is still crazy to think about. Well, are we ready for this little guy? Emotionally I would say yes! We've had over 7 months to be thinking about him, and we can't wait just to hold him and start our lives as our new family. On the other hand, we have nothing ready for the baby! We have some clothes (I couldn't help myself), a crib (that he might not sleep in), and a dresser. That's about it. Well now that my mom is back home (Yay!), we can finish up all the shopping. Also, our baby shower is next weekend, and we can't wait to see everybody. Being able to meet up with friends and family on a regular basis is the main reason we moved back here from Hawaii. We are so happy that we will get to see so many people at least one more time before baby comes.
The weather is starting to cool down here in the valley, and that makes me very happy. My wardrobe may not be ready for the chill but I am! I can't wait for big comfy sweaters and hot pumpkin lattes. Last weekend Alex, Tegan and I headed down to Malibu to watch the sunset. So beautiful! I love Hawaii but I don't think anything beats California beaches. We packed a picnic from Trader Joes including falafel wraps, dark chocolate with sea salt and of course some ice-cold pale ale for Alex. We might try and make a sunset beach trip a Sunday evening tradition! Sounds pretty good, right? Tegan definitely missed her weekly beach trips.
