Hey All!

| 26 weeks! |
It's been a while since I've made a post, but luckily things are finally starting to settle out around here. I am officially 29 weeks pregnant as of last weekend, so that means baby boy could be here in 11 weeks! Surprisingly, that still feels like pretty far away. Part of me feels like I am ready for him to just be here, and other parts of me haven't really realized that a real baby will be in our lives everyday. :)

According to my doctors my pregnancy has been amazingly healthy. I haven't had any problem so far, I have gained the normal amount of weight, as as of week 22 baby boy was in the 43rd percentile for weight! The symptoms on the other hand don't feel so healthy! I never fully got over the morning sickness and still get nauseous around the most random things. :( I am getting the craziest veins all down my legs, I wake up 7 times a night to pee, I get lightheaded and dizzy very easily, the list goes on....but as long as he's healthy it's all worth it! He is also kicking up a storm especially at night. The feeling sometimes gets very surreal. I can now feel him move around in there rather than just kick. I think he likes to play tricks on his daddy though, because he will stop kicking right when I call Alex over to feel him. :) A week ago I was finally able to see my belly move on it's own!
We started our childbirth classes last week and we are very excited about that! We chose to do the Bradley Method. The class focuses on the fact that childbirth is natural and normal and also incorporates the use of a birth coach which is usually the husband or partner. Alex will be very involved in the birthing process which makes him feel awesome and makes me feel more relaxed. The class is 12 weeks long and we meet for 2 hours a week at our instructor's house. They are a cute couple with 2 kids and another on the way! Last week we learned a bunch of exercises to get my body ready for labor. This week will be all about nutrition!

Our little apartment here in Van Nuys finally feels comfortable and homey! I have a bunch of decorating projects that I want to work on, but at least we have all the basics down. Not having a backyard has been difficult, and I am taking Tegan on walks at least 3 times a day! Luckily, we have a couple awesome dog parks nearby and we try to make it to one of them at least twice a week. We have also been trying out a bunch of new eateries around here and we can't wait to share them with friends and family! Gracie and Jon came over for a slumber party last weekend and we tried
Blue Dog Tavern for dinner in Sherman Oaks. We had the breakfast inspired Chi Chi burger and it was so good. For breakfast we stopped at
Nat's Early Bite a few blocks from our house. They are a little diner with scrumptious fresh baked muffins. I also have to shout out
Joes Falafel for the best falafel that I have ever had! We can't wait to find even more yummy places here in the valley.
Thanks for reading and I hope to update more often!
